Your Vision, Our Mission

Bridging the Blur is a youth-led nonprofit initiative dedicated to expanding access to affordable, high-quality eye care in underserved communities across Bangladesh.

Our mission is to reduce preventable blindness and improve quality of life through public education. We collaborate with local healthcare providers and foundations to improve long-term access to vision services and restore sight for individuals globally who would otherwise lack care.

Eye Condition Types

Empower yourself through education on eye health

Cataracts

Clouding of the eye lens that develops gradually. Early detection and treatment can restore vision and prevent blindness in thousands of people.

Glaucoma

Often called the "silent thief of sight," glaucoma damages the optic nerve without early symptoms. Regular screening is essential for prevention.

Refractive Errors

Myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism are common and easily correctable with glasses or contact lenses. Many go undiagnosed in underserved areas.

Eye Infections

Preventable infections like trachoma and river blindness cause irreversible vision loss in developing regions. Education and hygiene can prevent cases.

Diabetic Retinopathy

Diabetes can damage blood vessels in the retina. Awareness and regular screening help prevent vision loss in diabetic patients.

Age-Related Macular Degeneration

AMD affects central vision in older adults. Early detection and lifestyle changes can slow progression and maintain quality of life.

Meet the Founder

Bridging the Blur was founded by Tasnia to expand access to eye care in Bangladesh. Inspired by her familial experiences with diabetic retinopathy, her mission is to ensure that sight problems no longer limit the potential of those in need.
